Building regulations As
certain projects do not need Planning Permission (see planning), you
will nearly always need Building Regulations Permission. This is
where detailed construction drawings are prepared, indicating
construction methods for foundations, floors, walls, roofs etc.
Some
small projects do not require Building Regulations Permission, but to
be sure that the construction is adequate and in order to obtain
competitive builders prices, it is necessary to have construction
drawings.
If specialist finishes, designs or materials are
needed or preferred, we can source and detail these.
As
part of our service we would fill in the application forms, submit the
application forms, submit the application to the Council and liaise
with them to secure the approval.
Contractor / Builder
Deciding on which contractor to use is probably the most worrying part of the project.
The building work is the most expensive part of any project and careful selection of the contractor
is critical.
